Country house. Late C18/early C19. Gault brick and red brick, partly colour- washed. Hipped roofs of black-glazed pantiles and slate. Two storeys and attics, 5 x 3 bays; L-shaped with 2-storey wing to rear. South facade of five bays, symmetrical. Sashes with glazing bars, gauged brick arches over openings. Centre bay slightly advanced, with three tall narrow ground floor sashes divided by pilasters with plain brick entablature and moulded cornice. Left-hand sash blind. Moulded brick modillion cornice below attic level. Mixed attic fenestration: centre sash, two 2-light casments with glazing bars, two outer windows blind with painted-on glazing bars. Brick cornice above attic window heads. Corner pilasters. Chimney stacks symmetrically-placed on north side. West elevation of three ebays: two large ground floor openings: one tripartite sash with glazing bars, extending down to floor level, one pair of glazed doors with rectangular fanlight, flat lintol.with segmental relieving arch. Three first floor sashes, three blind attic window openings. Lower two-storey range at north-west corner, range of six windows, openings altered and ground floor partly built in red brick. Three chimney stacks on ridge line, the southernmost stack has arched opening for bell. East facade has rebuilt off-centre portico in brick with paired columns supporting brick entablature with pineapple finials; one ground floor and two first floor sashes with glazing bars, three blind attic windows. Brick cornices to attic storey continued round from south facade. North side colourwashed with lower red brick eaves parapet. Three attic dormers with sashes, three first floor sashes and tall stair window with semicircular head. East face of north wing has six first floor windows, three ground floor sashes and door opening. One-storey red brick range to north-east with attached archway to yard: segmental arch flanked by piers with moulded capitals.
