Parish church. Nave C12 in origin with later fenestration; C16 west tower and porch; chancel rebuilt C19. Flint and red brick with limestone and brick dressings. Nave thatched, chancel plain-tiled with crested ridges, porch pantiled. West tower, nave, chancel, south porch; former north arcade now blocked to form north wall of nave. Unbuttressed west tower of flint with red brick dressings. Brick-dressed niches at low level in west, north and south walls. Sound holes with chamfered brick reveals and drip moulds. Small single-light west window in chamfered reveal. Offset at cill level below sound openings. Red brick parapet with bases of corner pinnacles. Red brick south porch, probably early C16, with four centred entrance arch on polygonal responds of plastered brick. Niche above arch; gable parapet with crude square brick finial. Blocked east and west windows. Two 2-light windows in nave south wall, the eastern window later with a square head and diagonal tracery, possibly a rebuild. Chancel a rebuild of 1867: shallow buttresses with stone dressings and weatherings and 2 and 3-light geometrical windows. North chancel window blind. North wall of nave shows infilling of former north arcade; one 2-light wooden Y-tracery window set in a brick surround. Memorial tablet set in centre bay of arcade, inscription not decipherable. Remains of west wall former north aisle. North doorway with chamfered reveal. Interior: C14 north arcade now blocked and forming nave wall; three bays, arches with one plain and one hollow chamfer, octagonal piers and capitals. Scissor braced nave roof much rebuilt. Tall tower arch, C14 with double chamfered arch dying into single-chamfered reveal; opening blocked with small doorway inserted. In the chancel south-east corner, a reset double piscina of c1300with petalled bowls, central shaft and restored cusped heads. In the north-east corner a good monument to Sir Henry Gaudy d.1620. Good font, C15, octagonal. Stem with lions and slim-buttresses, angel corbels below bowl.
