1. 5321 BRESSINGHAM HIGH ROAD (north side) Grange Farmhouse (formerly listed as Hill Farmhouse) TM 08 SE 18/5 11.9.51

2. C16 house. Plastered timber-frame. Steep roofs with plain tiles and black glazed pantiles. Gabled cross wing at each end. At rear the north end of the west wing is brick with stepped gable with finial and good chimney stack with twin round moulded brick shafts, and 2 small round attic windows, and 3-light stone mullion window on ground and first floor. Adjoining gabled brick wing projecting with brick finial and stone attic window with 4 round-headed lights. Two storeys and attic. The front 1:3:1 bays, ends gabled. Modern and C19 casements. Fielded panel door. Central east-west range has chimney east of centre with diamond-shaped brick shafts. Interior: Room with moulded ceiling beams and fireplace with moulded stone Tudor arch. Small stone chamfered Tudor arch fireplace in attic of west wing. Roof of west wing has collar, and wind braces from the principal rafters to the purlins. Photographs NMR.
