BINHAM FRONT STREET TF 9839 (west side)
20/3 Nos. 29 to 33 (odd) and The Forge (Blacksmith's Yard) 2.4.75 II Cottages. At right angles to the street, with the Forge set back to west. Nos. 29-33 (odd) is a row of 2 storeys, probably early C17 in origin with later alterations. Flint and brick walls with brick dressings. Brick quoins rise above the entrance to No. 31. Distinctive high pitched gables with parapets and kneelers. Central brick stack in pantile roof. 3 windows wood casements of 2 lights with glazing bars to upper floor. Ground floor has large fixed-light windows under drip moulds to left and right. Centre has a brick mullioned and transomed 3-light window under rectangular drip mould. 2 plain wooden doors under rectangular drip moulds. The shop (No. 33) is attached to gable end facing the street. Single storey lean-to extension with pantile roof and wooden door. The Forge is a flint and brick building attached to the north-west corner of the row of cottages.
