30.11.51 Two barns and stable to west of the Old Rectory

Barn. C17 structure with roof possibly earlier. Flint with clunch walls, brick dressings and re-used rubble. Steeply pitched red pantiled roof. To east a three-stead barn with central lowered cart entrance and on either side 3 filled in brick ventilation holes. Lean-to at south and gabled stable beyond. Interior: Five bay with a double Queen post roof carried on arched braced tie-beams with wall posts, Queen posts with wind braces to the lower purlin and collar. Queen posts have expanded tops supporting collars. Two braced collars at intervals between main trusses. Brick threshing floor.
