GV II
Farmhouse. C17, with late C18 or early C19 extension and largely remodelled during early C20. Timber-framed core with part wattle-and- daub, and part painted brick infill, largely refaced with brick during early C20; late C18 or early C19 sandstone rubble addition, Welsh slate roof. Five bays aligned north/south with later addition extending to west from centre of west front; main axial stack and lateral stack to later addition. Two storeys. West front: one 2-light casement window to right, two similar windows to ground floor to left of lean-to porch with ledged door. Central gable end of later addition with 2-light case- ment window and canted bay with casement windows to ground floor. Pair of 2-light casement windows to left and one further similar window to right. To main house to right, pair of similar windows and one 3-light casement window flank square-headed doorway with ledged door. The square panelled timber-framing is revealed to this part and also to the rear. The interior is largely altered with the C19 staircase inserted into the through-passage. It retains a good cross-beamed ceiling and plastered decoration with tree and bird motifs in the room at the north end.
