6/89 Stable block and attached wall and gateway at the Old Rectory

Stable block and attached wall and gateway, now garage and store. Early C19. Render over red brick, ashlar dressings. Hipped slate roof. Ashlar plinth. 2 storeys, 10 bays. 2 large 3 centred arched doorways with plank double doors. To the right is a single casement, a domestic doorway, a single casement, a domestic doorway, 2 casements, a domestic doorway and a single casement. Above are 5 casements. All casements with iron Gothick glazing bars. All domestic doorways with plank doors and ashlar surrounds. Projecting from the right is a stepped ashlar coped brick wall with large carriage archway.
