House, later a nursing home (at time of listing) and attached wall. C18 with 1852 alterations and additions by T. C. Hine for Sir Thomas Parkyns. Stucco over red brick. Garden front now entrance front with hipped slate roof with eaves supported on decorative brackets. Three large ridge and similar single rear stacks. Painted plinth. Two storeys, five bays. The outer single bays project and are hipped, the ground floor with banded rustication and rusticated quoin strips to first floors. The ground floor of the central three bays projects and is topped with an ashlar balustrade. There is a dentil eaves cornice which projects in parts. Three round arches each arch with keyblock is supported on two Doric columns. The left two arches with glazed doors and fanlights and the single right arch with panelled double door and similar fanlight. The single bays to the right and left have single projecting bays with dentil eaves and single sashes flanked by single narrow sashes. Flanking the top of each sash are single decorative brackets which support panelled blocks in turn supporting the cornice which projects over the blocks. Extending between the blocks is a panelled frieze. In each side wall is a single blind panel. Above are three sashes. In the outer single bays are single similar sashes flanked by single narrow sashes. To the right, set back, is a three storey turret, the ground floor with banded rustication, the first floor with rusticated quoin strips, the second floor has a single panel containing single small casement. Over is a frieze with raised panels and above a deep parapet. To the rear right is the altered C18 two and a half storey, three bay wing with moulded eaves band. The C19 ground floor projects and is topped with an ashlar balustrade. Single large bow with five sashes, to the right are two round arched doorways with glazed doors and fanlights. Above are three sashes with three similar sashes above which break the eaves and have pediments over. Former entrance front of five bays has banded rustication to the ground floor and rusticated quoin strips above. Central portico with Doric columns, those at the front supported on a vermiculated ashlar wall which extends across the whole of this front for about 24 metres in all, and is topped with an ashlar balustrade. Portico with entablature with dentil cornice. Doorway with part glazed double door, marginal lights and dentil band over. Either side are two sashes, the top of the single sash on the far right is flanked by single decorative brackets which support the slightly projecting bay over, this rising to form a stack. On the far left are two small sashes. Above are five sashes.

Interior has open well staircase with decorative balusters and newels.
