TURVEY MILL GREEN SP 9252-9352 28/629 Nos. 1-5 (consec.) - - II

C18 courtyard group of farm buildings now converted to cottages. Nos 1 and 3 are of coursed limestone rubble. Pantile roof with stone gable coping. Three bays. Ridge red brick chimney stacks, one to each gable end and one to right hand side of central bay. All cottages 2 storey. E. elevation: first floor three 2-light casement windows, left hand two with glazing bars, right hand one C20. Similar arrangement of windows to ground floor with each cottage having plain C20 porch. No. 4 forms wings at right angles to these at S. end. Colourwashed plaster with pantile roof. 2-bay. Two storeys. S. elevation: first floor two 2-light casements. Ground floor 3-light casement, doorway with pent roof porch. To right hand side of this is external chimney stack. No. 5 at right angles to S.E. corner of No. 4. Colourwashed plaster. Pantile roof. Two storeys. C20 casement windows. Included for group value and because physically attached to other buildings.
