House row. C17 or earlier, with early C19 facade and early C19 addition to right. Chequered red and grey brick to ground floor, rendered first floor. Right section chequered red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. Left section 2 storeys, attics and cellar on stone plinth, right section 2 storeys. Lower eaves and ridge to right section. Roof hipped to left with large gablet. Roof of right section half-hipped to right. Projecting brick stack to left and multiple brick ridge stack central to left section. 2 gabled dormers to left section. Irregular fenestration of five 16-pane sashes; 2 to right section in open boxes, and 3 to left. Ground floor windows with segmental heads, that to right section probably formerly a shop window. 5 panelled doors with segmental heads; to No. 40 towards left end, to Nos. 38 and 36 adjacent beneath central stack, to No. 34 to left end of right section and to left end of shop window. Rear wing to left. Interior not inspected.
