ROLLESTON C.P. BROOKSIDE SK 22 NW 11/48 Brookhouse Inn (formerly listed 12.3.64 as Brookhouse Farmhouse) GV II
Farmhouse, now an hotel. Early to mid-C18 with alterations of 1877 and later. Red brick; tiled roof behind parapet (rebuilt) and verge parapets; end stacks, triple-shafted to left. 2 parallel range plan. 3 storeys with raised brick bands at floor/ceiling levels; 3-window front; segmental head, cross-form small-pane casements, shorter to top storey; central entrance, stone Tuscan porch with frieze and cornice, inscribed and dated "DH 1877"; 6-panel door. Lower gabled wing adjoining to right, including a flat-roofed dormer and verge parapet, and addition with coach entry covered way.
