12/1 Entrance piers to Ashenhurst (Formerly listed as Gate Piers and Gates at GV II Ashenhurst)
Pair of entrance piers. Mid C19. Sandstone. Baroque style, cruciform in plan, 4m high and approximately 12m apart. Moulded plinth to chamfered ashlar taken to moulded string with low-relief strapwork patterns over and consoles dying into square plan,coved out to moulded square surbase and raised ball finials.
