9/8 Miles Green Farmhouse -

Farmhouse. C17 with later alterations and partial C20 restoration. Timber framed with brick infill panels and some brick rebuilding; steeply pitched plain tile roof, rendered integral end stack and ridge stack. 3-bay baffle-entry plan house aligned north-west/south-east facing south- west. 2 storeys, 3 square panels to eaves with straight braces. Framing of central bay replaced in C19 yellow brick. Irregular fenestration, mainly C20 hand made casements of sympathetic character. Exposed left hand gable has a collar and tie beam roof truss with closely spaced studs. Fully framed rear wall with ogee-headed door towards the south-east end.
