Row of 4 houses. Probably c1800 and early to mid C19.
Roughcast and rendered with slate roofs (No.21 at the right
with artificial slate).
3 storeys above cellars. Each house is of 2-window range,
except for No.21 which is of one bay. Nos 15 & 17 have a
1st-floor sill band. No.15 has aluminium windows on the ground
and 1st floor in painted raised stone surrounds. The attic
windows are glazing bar sashes. In the left-hand bay are 2
doorways with plain stone surrounds, approached by 4 limestone
steps with iron railings. The left-hand door is boarded and
the right-hand door has 4 flush panels and 2 glazed panels.
No.17 has glazing bar sashes to the upper floors and a sashed
window on the ground floor. The doorway is in the right-hand
bay and has a plain stone surround.
No.19 has C20 casement windows in painted stone surrounds.
Those on the ground and 1st floors have segmental heads. There
is a single window on the ground floor, in the left-hand bay,
and the doorway is offset to the right.
No.21 has sashes without glazing bars on the ground and 1st
floors and a C20 casement on the 2nd floor. Its door is to the
right. The right-hand gable wall has verges projecting on
brackets. Chimneys between houses. Included for group value.
