Shop with accommodation above. Possibly late C17 with late C19 alterations. Scored painted render with slate roof. 2 storeys. Most of the ground floor is occupied by a shop front with timber fascia and cornice. On the 1st floor there are 3 window openings with plain reveals and projecting sills. The right-hand one is now blank, and the others are sashed. No chimneys are visible. The rear wall is said to have irregular fenestration, and a slate canopy over a doorway.
INTERIOR: Complex evolved interior, with ground floor fittings related to former usage as chemists shop. The upper floors retain domestic character with hearths with moulded surrounds and cast-iron hob grates of late C18 or early C19 date, decorative plaster cornice work, and a moulded C18 door surround. The attic storey is accessed a doorway with a broad planked door. The roof trusses have principals rising from wall corbels, possible the remains of tie beams, with nailed collars. One truss is closed with exposed studwork.
