Restaurant premises. c1900, altered C20. Marmo facade, slate roof. 3 storeys, 3 bays. Classical style. Narrow central entrance bay with panelled door and fanlight in keyed moulded arch, scrolled pediment above; flanking plate-glass windows. Round-arched windows to 1st and 2nd floors, centre, the keystone of the 1st-floor window forming a bracket to the 2nd-floor shallow curved balcony; flanking large segmental-arched showroom-type windows with original stained glass in upper lights. Pilasters, eaves band and moulded cornice, blocking course with central segmental pediment and finial. INTERIOR: not inspected. A fine example of the quality of design and manufacture produced by the Leeds Fireclay Company of Burmantofts before the First World War; Marmo was a matt-glazed faience which imitated the appearance of marble.
