3 houses, now offices, with area railings. Probably 1815-31. Red brick, Flemish bond, stone dressings, slate roof, wrought-iron railings. 2 storeys with basement and added dormers. 3:4:2 windows. Stone steps up to each entrance; panelled doors, fanlights; doorways centre and right (Nos 37 & 38) have attached Tuscan columns supporting entablature, cornice and blocking piece continued as a stone band at 1st-floor level. Doorway left (No.36) with console brackets supporting entablature and cornice. Windows with flat rubbed-brick arches, sashes with glazing bars to 1st floor; the 4-window central part has recessed panels below 2 ground- and four 1st-floor windows and a parapet with 4 carved stone panels with festoon of drapery and flanking scrolls. Plain railings. Rear: reputed to have 3 single-storey elliptical bays and round-headed stair windows. INTERIOR: reputed to have staircases with cast-iron balustrades, Nos 37 & 38 with elliptical bay windows, front room with moulded cornice and elliptical archway, fireplace with Tuscan columns. One of the last developments in Park Square on land leased from the Wilson estate.
