SJ4065NE CASTLE STREET 595-1/6/88 (North side) 10/01/72 No.16 west wing (Formerly Listed as: CASTLE STREET (North side) No.16 Factory building to right of Golden Eagle Public House)

Warehouse, now with No.16 east wing (qv) an office. Probably C18. Rendered; grey slate roof with gable to front. Cellar and 3 storeys, symmetrical. The front is lined, with projecting quoins east and, all of the same width, west; Second and third storey floor bands. Low opening to cellar, now narrowed, with former width indicated by length of timber lintel. The central loading bay has double doors to each storey, divided and now with framed and boarded, lower leaves and glazed upper leaves of 8 panes to first and second storeys and 4 panes to third storey; a recessed sash to each side of each pair of loading doors, of 15 panes to first storey, 20 panes to second storey and 4 panes to third storey, all with boldly projecting stone sills; painted brick gable coping. INTERIOR could not be inspected.
