Gazebo on the mill stream at Bachelor's Hall
II
Gazebo and supporting bridge. Late C18 with minor C19 alterations. Weather boarded and plastered walling with brick repair on shallow brick bridge with decorative flintwork to spandrels. Plain tiled hipped roof, with blue ridge tiles. Square on plan with timber lean to east side. North elevation with pediment and central semi-circular headed doorway, the fanlight plastered. Timber pilasters to corners and timber band at door head level. Half-glazed door with fielded panels to base. C19 lean-to added to east side with doorway access, enclosing six over six pane sash window to east side wall. Similar window to south elevation.
INTERIOR: small hearth to south-west corner with hob grate, overmantle panel and mantleshelf. Flat plastered coved ceiling with cornice above dado panelling. Built-in cupboards.
The gazebo is set above a brick lined channel which empties into the mill stream to the south.
