Small country house, now hospital offices. Dated 1870. Jocabean Revival style. Random granite rubble, with ashlar dressings and Swithland slate roofs. Ridge stacks with multiple octagonal coped flues. Plinth, quoins, first floor sill band. 2 storeys plus attics; 7 window range. L-plan.
Entrance front has a projecting central bay with shaped coped gable and finial. Round-arched ashlar doorcase with mask keystone, flanked by Renaissance Revival pilasters, under a cornice. Above, a 4-light cross mullioned window. Above again, a single window with cornice and crest, set in a shaped coped gable. Side bays have asymmetrical fenestration with several mullioned windows under a parapet. Projecting end bays have each a canted bay window, 2 storeys, with balustrade. Above, a single window set in a coped gable. Right return has a square tower porch with balustrade, and a projecting gabled bay to its right. Interior: entrance hall has moulded cornices and panelled cross beams. Open-well wooden staircase with square-turned balustrade, lit by a canted bay window with shafts and enriched cornice. Half-landing has foliage cornice and ceiling boss. First floor landing has a light well with wooden balustrade, under a coved ceiling with rectangular clerestorey. First floor front room has coved strapwork ceiling and 2 C19 hanging lamps.
