A timber-framed and plastered house with a late C14 core, raised and fronted in
the later C19. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Roof with single Roman tiles and remains of
ornamental ridge tiles, one with the figure of a man, another of an animal. 2
internal chimney-stacks: moulded shafts of C19 brick introduced during c.1970
restoration from elsewhere. 3 window range: 3-light casements of c.1880 with
hood-moulds. At left side, an early C19 shop window: bowed, small-paned.
Original framing inside: C14 studding with extensive bracing, 2 late C14
doorways, early C16 mullioned window and inserted chimney-stack. C20 extension
at rear.
