II

Public house formerly house, early C16. 2 storeys, 2 windows with 1-storey C20 extension to left. 2-cell plan, probable former lobby-entry; hall and parlour with chamber over each, and attic above parlour chamber. Timber-framed, rendered; pantiled roof with axial chimney. C20 casements and entrance door. Parlour has good quality carpentry; joists have double-scotia moulding, bridging joist has roll and scotia mouldings and sunk folded-leaf carved soffit. Mouldings carried down jowled storey post to floor; roll, scotia, and crenellated mouldings to binding joist at stack; doorway to lobby has shouldered jambs and arched head with leaf-carved spandrels; very close studding. Coupled-rafter roof.
