2/25 Neathouse immediately to - the west of Hall Famhouse

GV II

Farm building, probably built as a granary, but later used for cattle; now part office, part store. C18, with mid C19 remodelling. 2 storeys. Rubble flint to west side, knapped flint on the east, facing the house. On the upper part of the east wall the knapped flints are very large, laid with a mixture of light and dark surfaces. Red brick dressings; pantiled roof. 6 irregularly-spaced window openings to the ground storey with rusticated red brick surrounds and slatted external shutters: some with C20 2-light casements; 4 windows to upper storey; 3 stable-type doors. Good quality timber ceilings exposed inside: 9 bays, joists set on edge, deep, narrow main beams. Included for Group Value with the house.
