House. C18 and early C19. 2 storeys. Clay lump faced with brick, rendered
on front and whitewashed over all. Shallow-pitched slate roof. Double-
fronted, with 2 end chimney-stacks set within the gable walls. 3 window
range: small-paned sashes in very deep reveals. C19 door with the 4 lower
panels raised and fielded and a semi-circular opening like a fanlight at the
top. Flat pediment above, and surrounds with small reeded half-columns.
Attached to the front by a short stretch of wall at each end are low ornate
wrought-iron railings and a matching gate, all with spear-heads. At rear, a
large C18 timber-framed and rendered wing, with the roof raised to a very
shallow pitch later: some exposed timberwork inside. Also several flat-roofed
C20 extensions and a long attached single-storey mid C19 range in whitewashed
brick with pantiled roof, formerly stables, now part of the living
accommodation.
