Stable block at
Grundisburgh Hall
GV II
House and estate office, formerly stable block. C17 Red English bond
brick, with a plain tile roof. Two storeys. Entrance front: French
windows with cambered head at right of centre. Further doorway at far
left, with flat head. Between these, slightly at left of centre, is a 3-
light C20 casement window with cambered head at left of which are two 2-
light and one single-light windows, the lower of the 2-light windows having
originally been a doorway, which is now partially blocked. To right of
this is another 2-light window. To the extreme right is a 2-light C19
window with chamfered ashlar surround which is painted. To the first floor
are three 3-light casement windows and at left are two 2-light casements.
The right hand gable end has a glazed C20 door at left and a staircase
window to right with a 2-light first floor casement at left. Shaped gable
with convex lower edges and an ogee gable to the top, with blank roundels.
Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams to ground and first floors. Roof of 5
bays.
