Farmhouse. Early C17 with C19 brick service addition to the north forming L
shape plan. Timber framed, mostly plastered but with some pebbledash render
and brick casing; red brick crowstepped gable end to right. The roof is
partly plaintiled and partly pantiled, with mid C20 concrete tiles to the
front slope. 2 storeys. 2 windows, C18 3-light and 4-light mullion and
transom casements; to the rear is a good square-leaded window of similar date.
C20 entrance door in service wing. Heavy internal stack at the junction with
the service wing. The crowstepped gable end has symmetrically-placed pairs of
blocked windows at 3 levels: the windows have the remains of moulded brick and
stuccoed pediments (now missing on the ground floor) and also traces of
rusticated stucco surrounds. There is an integral stack. One ground floor
room has a good ovolo-moulded beam and joist ceiling.
