Lodge and Cottages. 1884 by George and Peto in half-timbered style. Red brick ground floor, tile hung above to right, some in pattern bands, timber frame above to centre and left with decorative circular and semi-circular framing to left; close stud to centre. Plain tiled roofs. Two central gables, left hand are projecting further forward, with flat head carriage entrance to left, cottages to right. Two storeys with corbelled end stacks to left and left of centre, further stacks between gables, large ridge stack to right of centre and end ridge stack to right. One 3-light dormer to left, centre-light arched with steep pediment/gable over; above arched through-way are 4 pairs of braces with stone corbels. 3-light ground floor casement to left. Gables to centre double jettied at first floor and to base of gable. Angle bay oriel on brace to first floor of left hand gable; gable above with decorative frames. Square bay window to centre of ground floor; similar to right hand gable. First floor window with arched centre-light - "swans house type". Two first floor casements to right, 3 on ground floor under cambered head. Part glazed door to right (No. 4) under big pentice hood on brackets. Door to right of gables under similar hood on one support (No. 3). Further doors either side of carriage way under flat roof porches on brick walls and turned, tapering pillars to left; under jettied first to right with two tapering pillars to left.
