Details
SU 9949 NW GUILDFORD BURY FIELDS (West Side) 7/8 Mead Cottage 27/7/81 II Cottage. 1895 by H. Thackery Turner in Vernacular style. Bargate and sandstone rubble, randomly laid, with plain tiled roof,bellcast over eaves and with elab- orate scrolled-iron supports to gutters. L-shaped plan and placed at an angle to the street. Low two storeys with one cross-ridge stack on each range. Three light casement windows, one on each floor of each gable end; one 2-light casement window in ground floor of left wing, one 3-light window to right. Door in angle on right under cambered head and triangular pentice roof across the angle. C20 brick extensions to rear left, not of special interest. One of a number of buildings by Turner in the locality.
