GV II
Stable block, now classrooms. Probably c.1790, altered. Yellow stock brick with some limestone dressings, slate roof. Rectangular plan consisting of 2-storey 3- bay centre with single-storey 3-bay side ranges. The centre block has a slightly set back centre containing a giant round-headed archway now filled with a glazed screen and double doors, with an impost band carried out; the outer bays have 12-pane windows at ground floor, that on the left sashed but the other altered as a bottom-hinged casement; at 1st floor a clockface to the left and a wind-gauge to the right; and a hipped roof with a central bellcote surmounted by a weathervane. The side ranges have round-headed recesses containing round- headed windows (with altered glazing) except that at the left end which is blind; and a saw-toothed eaves band. An addition at the right-hand end is not of special interest. The rear is mostly altered, with various additions.
