GV

House. Early C19; altered. Brick in Flemish bond, now painted cream; slate roof. Rectangular single-depth plan with lean-to and wing added to rear. Two storeys and five bays, symmetrical, the three-bay centre breaking forward slightly, with an impost band to the whole ground floor, and a first floor sill-band to the centre; the wide segmental-headed doorway, protected by a light wooden porch with keyed semi-elliptical arches and flat roof, has a panelled door with glazed top panels and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars; the ground floor has round-headed sashed windows with radiating glazing bars (except that at the right-hand end, which is a casement) set in recessed round-headed arches linked by an impost band; the first floor has a square panel in the centre (presumably for a plaque), and cross-window casements (presumably altered). Dentilled eaves; hipped roof of shallow pitch, with a chimney at the front offset right of centre (probably added), and end-wall chimneys. High wall of former walled garden attached at right-hand corner. Rear not of special interest.

Interior: reeded architraves to doors.
