Timber frame with colour-washed brick nogging (some in herringbone pattern), red tile roof. Rectangular single-depth 3-bay plan, probably originally of the smoke-bay type; with a short rear wing added at each end. Chimneys at both gables, that to the left with coupled flues and a very prominent moulded cornice. The rear has exposed timber-framing similar to that at the front. Interior: jowelled wall-posts, large spine-beams in the 1st and 3rd bays, and a cruder spine beam in the centre bay (probably added); a large brick inglenook fireplace at the south end, with bread oven in right-hand side (under staircase in this corner); mortices of former wooden diamond mullions in head and sill of window at 1st floor of 3rd bay; floored attic over 1st and 2nd bays; re-used rafters with smoke-blackening and 2 sets of carpenter's marks.
