2 houses, part of a terrace. Early C19. No.158 amber brick with low pitched slate roof behind stucco cornice and blocking course. No.158A stucco with cornice and parapet. No.158, 3 storeys, 3 bays with slightly recessed 2-storey, 1-bay outer linking extensions. Ionic porch to left extension; door with fluted pilaster jambs, cornice head and decorative fanlight. Sash windows with glazing bars, those on ground-floor of main block round-headed in round-arched recesses with stucco band at spring; all others with flat, gauged-brick arches. No.158A, 3 storeys, 1 bay. Door flanked by Doric pilasters supporting entablature. Moulded architraves and console bracketed cornices to casement windows. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: area railings to No.158 with spearhead standards. Nos 144-166 (even) (qqv) form a group.
