3 houses. c1830. Brick in Flemish bond with soft stocks to
gauged brick lintels and the round arches to ground-floor
openings. Stucco springing band to ground floor and to cornice
of No.191. Roof parapeted.
3 storeys over basement and 2 windows each. Entrances, reached
up short flight of steps, are set to the left party wall;
railings of C19 design to steps and enclosing shallow front
gardens. Segmental-arched basement windows. First-floor
windows with 6x6 sashes of authentic design. 6x6 sashes to
upper-floor windows. Parapets to Nos 193 & 195 have been
rebuilt, along with parts of front walls on the same.
An unusual feature of this trio of identical houses is the
break in the plane of the front walls, with No.191, the most
complete house in the group, sitting one and a half to 2
bricks back from the front wall plane of the rest.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron area railings.
