Terrace of 8 houses, No.35 a corner house with shop. c1835-44.
Yellow stock brick with rusticated stucco ground floors. Some
with slated roofs and dormers. 3 storeys, some with attics,
and basements. 2 windows each; No.35 with blind return to
Swinton Place. Segmental arched doorways with fluted quarter
columns, fanlights (Nos 37 & 47 patterned), and panelled
doors. No.35, wooden shopfront with pilasters carrying
entablature with bracketed cornice; shop windows with small
panes. Shop doorway (on corner) and segmental-arched house
doorway (on return), altered. Gauged brick flat arches to
recessed sashes; 1st floor with cast-iron balconies, except
No.35. Stucco cornices and blocking courses.
INTERIORS: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached
cast-iron railings with tasselled spearhead finials to areas.
