Former toll house and shop, now house. Late C18, with later
C19 shop front. Brick, rendered to street front. Gable facing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic; 2 first-floor windows to
gable-end facing street. Plinth, segmental-headed entrance to
left with 6-flush-panelled door. Former shop front to right
has partly blocked window with glazing bars in surround with
Ionic pilasters, entablature and hood. 2/2 first-floor windows
beneath segmental arches. Similar attic window. Right return
has a single 6/6 horizontal sliding sash to ground floor, and
a 2/2 first-floor hung sash, both beneath segmental brick
arches. Stepped brick eaves. Raised brick-coped gables.
INTERIOR: ground-floor front room has fireplace with stone
surround and cast-iron grate flanked by alcove cupboards with
half-glazed doors.
