Row of 4 houses, Nos 1 & 2 now integrated as one dwelling, and the former No.8 now integrated with No.6. C17; altered. Mostly cruck-framed with rendered brick cladding painted white, steeply-pitched thatched roof on 2 levels, stepped down slightly from No.4 to No.6 and half-hipped to the left (and slate to right-hand end of No.2). Single-depth, each house double-fronted.
EXTERIOR: one storey except right-hand end of No.2 which is 2 storeys; 11-window range. Doorways between the first and second, seventh and eighth, tenth and eleventh windows, all square-headed with board doors. Sliding sash windows, the first 6 of 2 lights and the others of 3 lights, and a similar 3-light window at first floor of No.2. Four single-flue chimneys on the ridge and a similar chimney at right-hand gable of No.2.
INTERIOR: full cruck frames between fourth and fifth windows, and sixth and seventh.
Forms a group with No.10 (qv) and No.14 (qv).
