Shown on OS map as Medical Centre and 28 Flour Square.
House, now office and store. Early C19, with later minor
alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond, part rendered to left
return and rear. Welsh slate roof to sides and front; concrete
tiles to rear. Double-depth plan, with 2-room, central
entrance-hall north front and stairs to centre left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3-window range; symmetrical. Round-arched
entrance with step to recessed doorcase with attached Doric
columns, moulded cornice and radial fanlight with margin
lights beneath stone arch; original door, boarded over.
Original 6/6 ground-floor sashes with stone sills beneath
cambered wedge lintels. First floor has C20 1/1 sashes in
similar original openings. Wooden eaves board. Hipped roof.
Single roof stack to right, 2 to left.
Left return has recessed central section with tall
round-headed staircase window with glazing bars; 6/6
first-floor sash to right, C20 1/1 sash to left in original
opening.
Right return: 2 doors with boarded-up overlights beneath
cambered wedge lintels, one 6/6 ground-floor sash; 3
first-floor windows, 2 with 6/6 sashes, one with C20 casement
in original opening.
INTERIOR: retains original features, including open-well
staircase, panelled doors and window shutters, moulded
cornices.
