School. Built in 1896, architect Richard Creed with foundation stone laid by Bishop Wilberforce. Minor later C20 extensions. Vernacular Revival style. Built of brown brick with red brick dressings, tiled roofs with gable ends having timberframing with pebbledashed infill and tall brick chimneystacks. Comprises a north and a west building linked by gate and wall. West building is of one storey with two windows to west and four to east. Central tiled gable to east with paired casements underneath and a further casement to the right. Decorative dated rainwater heads. East front is symmetrical with two central large gables with tilehanging and 4-light triple tier casements and smaller hips to sides with triple mullioned and transomed gables. End elevations have gables with timber-framing and pebbledash infill and two triple 3 tier casement windows. Interiors have wood and glazed classroom partitions, wooden dado panelling and moulded wooden cornices. Much of the roof is concealed by later ceiling tiles.
North building is of one storey with 10 windows to north front. Westernmost paired window under small gable with timberframing, two easternmost windows are triple mullioned and transomed windows with cambered heads and the remainder are small casement windows with continuous moulded brick band below. Decorative dated rainwater heads. End elevations have timberframed gables with pebbledashed infill and four-light casement with 6-light mullioned and transomed casement below. Rear elevation has two projecting gables and paired flat-roofed gables with chimneystack in between. Brick and glazed extension to western part. East elevation has doorcase with four-centred arched opening with double doors. Interiors have arch braced and wooden dado panelling.
