Barn. Early C17. Timber-framed and weatherboarded; galvanized corrugated sheet steel roof cladding.
PLAN: 3-stead threshing barn with transept entrance to north and north aisle.
EXTERIOR: plinth of shuttered concrete replacing brick. Transept with double steel doors. Opposing stable door to south.
INTERIOR: 3 principal framed bays, with jowled principal studs linked by cambered tie beams on arched braces. Longitudinal arched braces to wall plate. Collars with one tier of clasped purlins. No ridge piece. Secondary studs and middle rail to all internal elevations. East and west gable walls with arched braces from middle rail to principal corner studs.
Lean-to north aisle either side of north transept, with scarf-jointed rafters. Transept also with middle rails east and west and arched braces from the rails to the principal studs.Transept roof with collars and one tier of clasped purlins.
