Terraced houses. Early C19. Stucco. Roof obscured by blocking
course.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement. One window each.
Flat-arched entrance with overlight to No.12 reached through
round-arched porch to side of unit; the porch with architrave
and voussoirs, much altered, and parapet. Up stairs to No.11's
entrance which is round arched with fanlight; door of original
design. In the centre segmental bay to ground floor only; 2
flat-arched windows; sashes of original design to No.11.
First-floor balcony with cast-iron railings to roof of
ground-floor bay; French doors to balcony. Flat-arched window
with projecting sill to second floor. Basement window under
bay is camber arched. The cornice, which is continuous over
both units, returns. Stacks to party wall.
INTERIOR: inspection of No.12 ground floor only. Entrance and
stair hall with dogleg stair of original design; wreathed and
ramped wooden handrail, turned wood balusters, curtail step.
Ground-floor front room has fireplace of original design to
party wall; fluted entablature on plain pilasters, wreathed
urn on plaque in centre of entablature; fireback of same date.
