Terraced house. 1801-4 but possibly incorporating an earlier
building, judging by the cobbled wall on the return to Edward
Street and the form of the roof. Stucco and cobbles, roof of
tiles.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement with dormers, 2-window
range. Ground floor decorated with banded rustication.
Flat-arched entrance with pilasters and entablature.
Flat-arched, tripartite windows to all floors with original
glazing bars to ground floor and in part to first and second
floors; cast-iron window-guard to ground floor; bracketed
balcony with cast-iron balustrade to first floor; sill band to
second floor and left-hand window blank; cornice and blocking
course; dormer in both western slopes of the 2-span M-shaped
roof; stack to party wall.
Return to Edward Street: ground floor cobbled, the rest
stuccoed; the ground floor has segmental-arched windows with
brick dressings; no first-floor windows; all windows blank
except for westernmost on second and third floors which have
6/6 and 3/6 sashes of original design.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Cast-iron area railings with spear-and-tassel finials.
