Terraced houses. Early C19. Stucco, roofs obscured by parapet.
3 storeys over basement, 3-window range double-fronted. Steps
up to flat-arched entrance with pilasters, architrave and
stepped blocking course; recessed doorway with moulded
architrave to No.42 and overlight; ground floor decorated with
banded rustication as far as moulded storey band; segmental
bays to either side flanked by pilasters, the left-hand bays
running up from the basement, those to the right now cut back
at basement level; flat-arched triplet windows to all floors
in right-hand bays, simple flat-arched windows to left; No.41
retains sashes of original design in both bays except that the
first-floor right-hand window has probably been lowered;
central flat-arched windows over entrances, all blank except
at second floor of No.41; stepped frieze and moulded cornice,
blocking course; stacks to party walls.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Cast-iron area railings with spearhead finials.
