Terraced houses. c1825. Stucco, roofs obscured by parapet
except for No.37 which is turnerised and No.38 which is tiled.
3 storeys over basement except for Nos 37 and 38 which have
dormers, 2-window range. The house fronts consist of
full-height and almost full-width segmental bays. Ground floor
decorated with banded rustication; steps up to flat-arched
entrance with overlight; Nos 36, 38 and 40 have studded doors
of original design though glazed in the upper panels. All
windows flat-arched; cast-iron window guards to ground-floor
windows of Nos 40 and 42; the first-floor windows have
blind-boxes on Nos 35, 42 and 43 and bracketed balconies with
cast-iron railings except to No.45; storey band between first
and second floors; cornice and blocking course; stacks to
party walls.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Cast-iron railings to steps and area
with spearhead finials.
