Terraced houses. c1818. Probably by Amon Wilds and Amon Henry
Wilds. Brick and stucco, roofs of slate except No.40 which is
of tiles, No.43 is turnerised.
3 storeys over basement with dormers, one-window range except
No.43, 2-window range. Ground floor decorated with banded
rustication, except for Nos 44-46, and No.46 has panels of
roughcast surrounded by smooth stucco all over. Steps up to
round-arched entrance with fanlight, Nos 39-42 having
decorative glazing; panelled doors of original design to Nos
40-41, 43-44; full-height segmental bay with tripartite
windows to ground and first floors, those to Nos 41, 43 and 46
altered; sill band to second-floor windows; No.43 has a
carriage entrance to left with segmental bay above, and is to
that extent double-fronted; sashes of original design to Nos
39 and first floor of No.46; cornice, now simplified round
bays on Nos 38 and 40-42; parapet with balustrade, balustrade
missing on Nos 38 and 40-43; dormers in mansard roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Cast-iron railings to steps and area with conical finials.
