Terraced houses. c1865. Stucco scored as ashlar, roof of tiles
to Nos 101, 105-109, 113, slate to No.111.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement, 3 windows each. The houses
are separated from each other by full-height pilasters,
rusticated at the ground floor and with 2 blocks at cornice
level, the lower block bracketed; steps up to round-arched
entrance with moulded architrave, fanlight and panelled door;
archivolt linked by springing band to archivolts over
round-arched ground-floor windows which also have panelled
aprons; first- and second-floor windows flat-arched with
moulded architraves; bracketed balcony to first floor with
cast-iron balustrade of scrolling foliage; second-floor
windows have small bracketed sills with cast-iron
window-guards; cornice and parapet; stacks to party walls.
Walls and corniced gate piers to steps, cast-iron railings to
area.
Features of individual houses are: No.101 has 2-storey side
porch, the ground floor of which is obscured by a later
lean-to, 3 windows to ground floor and no window-guards to
second floor; No.103 has an urn on top of the left-hand
pilaster; No.105 lacks rustication to one pilaster, as does
No.107; No.111 lacks architrave mouldings to first- and
second-floor windows, and window-guards; No.113 has all
mouldings simplified and no window-guards.
