Terraced houses. c1820. Probably by Amon Wilds. Stucco and
yellow brick, now painted, roof of tiles so far as visible.
4 storeys over basement, one-window range. Ground-floor
decorated with banded rustication, brick above. Round-arched
entrance with fanlight except that No.28 has a flat-arched
entrance with overlight, panelled door decorated with an
interlaced rectilinear pattern to Nos 28-9. Ground-floor
windows round-arched originally, though now altered to flat
arches. Upper windows all flat-arched, those to first floor
being French windows giving onto a continuous bracketed
verandah with cast-iron railings with anthemion ornament and
convex canopies carried on slim columns and segmental-arched
braces; second and third floors flanked by stucco pilasters
with palmette ornament to the capitals; second-floor windows
under cornice on consoles; cornice and blocking course; stacks
to party walls.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Cast-iron railings to area with bud finials.
