adjoining to S of Dale Cottage)

Detached house. Early C19. The building is in 2 parts. First
that formerly listed as Dale Cottage; stucco, roof of tiles.
2 storeys, 3 windows. Flat-arched entrance under porch
consisting of quasi-Doric columns and canopy with 6-panelled
door, the 2 top panels glazed; 2-storey bays to either side,
that to the left shallow and canted, to right 5-sided and
deep; all glazing bars renewed except in window over porch
which has sashes of original design and hoodmould over; end
stack; left-hand return rendered.
Secondly, there are 2 ranges of brick and flint to the rear,
the westernmost formerly listed as Dale Flat, and a linking
single-storey entrance between them; the easternmost includes
a stucco range under a lean-to roof; the westernmost has a
flat-arched window incorporating late C19 stained glass; west
of these ranges and continuous with them is part of a former
barn with open cart way; it is not of special architectural or
historic interest.
