Terraced houses. c1860. Stucco, roofs obscured by parapet.
EXTERIOR: Nos 1 and 6 four storeys over basement, Nos 2-5
three storeys over basement; 3-window range except No.1 which
is of 2-window range. Ground floor decorated with banded
rustication. Flat-arched entrances, those to Nos 2 and 3 have
pilasters and entablature, No.4 has no architrave, Nos 5 and 6
paired porches with pilasters to the outer piers, rustication
to the inner, and joint entablature. All windows flat-arched.
First-floor windows have moulded stucco architraves and
segmental pediments to Nos 1 and 3, segmental and triangular
to No.2, continuous bracketed balconies to first floor with
bowed cast-iron railings; second-floor windows have moulded
stucco architraves; modillion cornice to Nos 1-3, ordinary
cornice to Nos 4-6; 4th floor to Nos 1 and 6 has windows with
moulded stucco architraves, and additional cornice; blocking
course throughout; stacks to party walls. No.1 has a return in
Windlesham Avenue with an entrance whose architrave is
currently missing; rusticated ground floor; 3-storey shallow
5-sided bay west of entrance, probably an addition.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Cast-iron area railings in Windlesham
Avenue and some railings flanking entrances in Vernon Terrace.
