The Vicarage

GV II

Vicarage to the Church of the Annunciation (qv). Dated 1897 on
the foundation stone. Random flint with raised mortar joints
and brick dressings, roof of tiles.
2 storeys over basement with dormers in the attic. All
openings have dressings in the form of quoins; pointed-arched
entrance with overlight and panelled door; secondary
segmental-arched entrance; paired pointed-arched windows
either side of main entrance to ground and first floor; the
windows of the vestry and related rooms next to the church are
also mainly pointed-arched with stepped sills; one ground- and
one first-floor window set back in a pointed-arched recess
under its own gable, the spandrel between the windows
tile-hung; brick springing and storey bands; statue of the
Virgin Mary above entrance; 2 gabled dormers; end and central
stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Included for group value.
