Coach house, now a detached house. Mid-C19. Stucco, roof of
slate.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 5-window range. The front divided into
alternate broad and narrow bays by rusticated piers;
flat-arched carriage entrance in western broad bay, now
adapted as house entrance; round-arched windows paired in
broad bays and single in narrow, except that there is one
window over the entrance, flanked by narrow, round-arched
recessed panels; storey band; cornice and blocking course, the
course with ball finials over the piers; corniced end stacks.
The returns to east and west and the sides of a single-storey
extension to the south are finished in unpainted stucco
decorated with aedicules in a Greek Revival taste; that under
the gable has consoles and vermiculated panels to the base,
paired pilasters and a pediment over the centre with
ornamented tympanum; that on the extension is similar but with
single columns, a full entablature, and curved pediment with
antefixae; the gable is corniced and so are the stacks. The
southern wing is extended further in brick, with another brick
extension to the south-east under a hipped and tiled roof.
